Return window: within 30 days of delivery (per carrier scan)
Eligible for return
- Unopened/unused products in original packaging
- Items that arrive damaged, defective, or incorrect (we’ll make it right)
Because we sell cosmetics:
For safety/hygiene, we can’t accept opened or used products unless there’s a quality issue or you experienced a reaction (see “Sensitivities & reactions” below).
Refund type
- Refund to original payment (minus return label if applicable)
- Free replacements for damaged/defective/incorrect items
- Store credit available on request (often fastest to reuse)
Return shipping
- We cover the label for damaged/defective/incorrect items
- For “change of mind,” you can use our discounted prepaid label (cost deducted from refund) or ship with your own carrier
Timing
- Once your return is delivered to our facility, please allow 3–5 business days for inspection and refund/credit.
Non-returnable
- Gift cards, samples/minis, final-sale items, and items not purchased from rootkind.com
Sensitivities & reactions (we’ve got you)
We design for gentleness—but everyone’s skin/scalp is unique.
If you experience a reaction:
- Stop using the product.
- Email info@rootkindbeauty.com within 14 days of delivery with your order #, product name, what happened, and photos if applicable.
- We’ll help with a swap or store credit after a quick assessment.
Exchanges (fast & easy)
Two options:
- Instant Exchange (recommended): We place a temporary hold for the new item; we ship it now. When your original arrives/inspects, the hold is released.
- Standard Exchange: Send the original back first; we ship the new item once your return is scanned in.
Packaging your return (no leaks!)
- Place items upright, cap tightly, and use the original box if possible
- Add padding around glass or droppers
- Include the RMA/return slip from your portal email
How to Start a Return (3 steps)
- Go to the Returns Portal
Visit /pages/returns (or your link in order emails). Enter your order # and email. - Choose what you need
Select Refund, Exchange, or Replacement (damaged/defective/incorrect). Upload a photo if applicable. - Print label + ship
Use our prepaid label or your own. Drop off with the carrier shown. Track your return from your portal/email.
